What is a solid parking block?

A solid parking block is a low curb that sits at the front of a parking space and stops a vehicle's tires before it rolls too far. The blocks here are molded solid, in heavy duty plastic or recycled rubber, so they will not crack, rot or rust. They come in 4 foot and 6 foot lengths.

Plastic or rubber, which should I choose?

Both are maintenance free and handle wide temperature swings. The Dura Stop plastic blocks are lightweight, UV stabilized and chemical resistant, in heights from 3.25 to 4.5 inches. The recycled rubber blocks resist oil, UV and moisture and come with painted yellow reflective stripes so drivers see them at night.

How are parking blocks installed?

Most blocks anchor with spikes driven through the block into the pavement. The rubber blocks use four 14 inch galvanized spikes per 6 foot block, sold separately, and steel spikes are also sold on their own. Bundles of 10, 30 and 60 blocks cover a full lot at a lower price per block.

What are the FG 300 and Tuff Curb systems?

They are raised lane separator curbs, used where paint alone is not enough to keep traffic in its lane. The FG 300 Curb System pairs modular curb sections with channelizer posts and is MASH tested. Tuff Curb works with Impact Recovery posts and panels and carries 3M reflectors for night visibility.

What should I look for in a parking block?

Look at material, height and how it anchors. Recycled rubber blocks resist UV, moisture and oil and will not chip, crack or warp, while plastic and concrete blocks trade off weight and ease of install. A 4 inch high block stops tires while helping reduce damage to cars with low front ends, and reflective stripes keep the block visible at night.

It depends on the block. The rubber parking stop with reflective stripes includes galvanized 14 inch spikes, 3 for a 4 foot block and 4 for a 6 foot block, while other blocks sell spikes separately. Check the product details before ordering.

What parking lot products are available?

Gear for running a lot or garage: parking blocks, speed bumps and cable protectors, wheel chocks, bumper guards, EV parking signs and blocks, pavement stencils and marking tape, curb and sidewalk signs, disposable trash bins and more.

Where should I start when setting up a parking lot?

Start with stops and flow: parking blocks at the head of each space, speed bumps where cars need to slow down, and signs for entrances, exits, reserved and accessible spaces. Then add pavement markings, bumper guards on columns and corners, and EV signs and blocks for charging spaces.
