What is the FOD gear here, and how does it help?

FOD means foreign object debris, any loose item on the ramp that an engine could suck in or a tire could throw. The padded FOD bags are pouches a crew carries or wears to collect bolts, caps, and trash during a walk down, and the secure bucket covers snap over an open bucket so the contents cannot spill out and turn into debris themselves. Both are simple tools that back up an airport FOD program and keep the ramp clean.

Do you carry a windsock, and where does it go?

Yes, there is an orange double stitched windsock for reading wind direction and rough speed at a glance. Crews and pilots use them around helipads, private strips, fuel points, and anywhere knowing the wind matters before a takeoff, landing, or fuel transfer. The bright orange color and heavy stitching are there so it holds up to constant wind and stays easy to read from a distance.

Do small operations and private hangars really need FOD gear?

Yes, debris does not care how big the operation is. One dropped bolt or fuel cap can wreck an engine or get thrown by prop wash, so even a single plane hangar is better off with a FOD bag on every walk down and covers on any open buckets. The gear costs very little next to the damage it prevents, and making the walk down a habit keeps a small ramp just as clean as a major airport.

What aviation and ramp safety gear is available?

Ground support and ramp safety gear for airports, FBOs, airlines and hangars: aircraft chocks, marshalling and light wands, PowerFlares, airport barricades, wing tip cones and ramp delineators, FOD and hangar supplies, and hydration for crews working long shifts in the heat.

Can aviation gear be customized or bought in bulk?

Many aviation products come in bulk packs and pallets, and several, like aircraft chocks and marshalling wands, can carry an FBO or airline logo. Check each product page for the pack sizes and custom options it offers.
