Pink Roll Up Traffic Sign - Road Closed Ahead - RUS-FP-RCA-VAR

This Road Closed Ahead Pink Emergency Response Sign is made in the USA, with heavy duty reinforced clear plastic pockets. ROAD CLOSED AHEAD durable printed legend can withstand a variety of harsh chemicals and cleaners, which allows graffiti, dirt, and grime to be removed from the sign without damaging the print. These road construction signs also feature convenient labeling that can easily be read or understood when folded or rolled up - no more unrolling a sign just to figure out which one it is. We currently have our roll up signs available in fluorescent orange, with reflective or non-reflective material.

The 4-pocket style comes in two pieces - sign and crossbrace. Sign is deployed by inserting each end of the crossbrace into the pockets on each corner of the sign.

We proudly make all our signs inhouse. Production time is 2 to 3 days. Call us if expedited service is needed.

When should I use pink signs instead of orange?

Color is the message. Orange means planned, scheduled roadwork: a crew that chose to be there today. Fluorescent pink means an unplanned emergency, a crash, a fire, a disabled tanker, a scene that wasn't on anyone's schedule this morning. The MUTCD recognizes fluorescent pink specifically for traffic incident management, so a driver reads it differently: "something happened here, slow down and expect the unexpected," not "routine construction." If you're a first responder, fire, EMS, tow, or a DOT incident crew setting up around an active scene, pink is the right color. If you're a contractor doing scheduled work, stay with orange.

Are pink emergency signs actually MUTCD compliant?

Yes. Fluorescent pink isn't a novelty color, the MUTCD added it for traffic incident management, the temporary traffic control you set up around an unplanned scene. The part worth knowing: pink is meant for exactly that, a temporary incident area that comes down once the scene is cleared. It isn't a replacement for orange in a long-term construction zone. Used for what it's for, a live emergency, a fluorescent pink roll-up on a crashworthy stand is by the book.

Do I need reflective, or is standard vinyl fine for these?

For emergency signs, lean reflective, and it matters more here than it does on a construction sign. Incidents don't keep business hours; a crash at 2 a.m. in the rain is exactly when your signs have to work. Non-reflective vinyl is the budget, daytime-only option and isn't MUTCD compliant after dark. Reflective vinyl stays legible around the clock, in headlights and low light. If these are going into a first-response kit that could deploy at any hour, reflective is the version that's ready when you are. And on an open highway shoulder, mesh lets the wind blow through so the sign stays planted.
